p57 floxedマウス。エクソン2から4がloxPで挟まれている (Flox型) 。ホモノックアウトマウスの多くは胎生期致死。細胞が増殖を行うためには、サイクリン/CDK複合体と呼ばれる分子群が活性化することが必須である。CDKインヒビターと呼ばれるp57は、サイクリン/CDK複合体の機能を阻害することによって、細胞の増殖を抑制している。p57は父性インプリンティング遺伝子。
